Revised 12/04/08

The product Date Code is found on the product label. The date code is 4 numeric digits in W W Y Y format. The first two digits "W W", show the week of manufacture, incrementing from 1 to 52. YY is the year in 2 digit format. Various letter suffixes may be found. These are used for factory identification. Date codes increase as follows: 0103, 0203 to 5103, 5203, then 0104, 0204. Although [0103] and [0104] look sequential, they are actually manufactured a year apart: [0103] (week 01 of 2003) and [0104] (week 01 of 2004).
Encapsulated Modules
On 2" X 2" encapsulated modules, the date code is usually near the part number and enclosed in brackets: [2404]. Letters and numbers may appear between the brackets. If you find a prefix of "G" this signifies that this product was manufactured using the Generation II (Gen II) design: [G2305].
Plug-in Products
On plug-in products the date code is usually in the lower right corner of the product label. It may be shown as 2204 enclosed in brackets [2204], or it may follow the word Code 2204.
